Residential Pool Inspections in Los Angeles

Why You Need A Pool Inspection

Whether you’re buying a home with a pool or you own the home, the pool is an important part of the backyard environment. Yet, a home with a pool can bring its own costly complications. That’s why you need a residential pool inspection.

Just like general home inspections, it’s critical (and advised by the general home inspection associations) to hire an inspector who is an experienced and licensed pool contractor. At Certified Pool Inspections in Los Angeles residential pool inspection are offered. Our experienced, detail-oriented, and thorough team will ensure that you have an accurate assessment of your pool’s safety and functionality. At Certified Pool Inspections, we know pools!

What is a Residential Pool Inspection?

For our clients in and around Los Angeles, a residential pool inspection is a non-invasive process that allows us to accurately assess your swimming pool. We strive to provide you with the best residential pool inspection Los Angeles has to offer. That's why during each inspection, we’ll examine everything from the mechanical and electrical components of the pool, the tile, plaster, coping, and other related items. We take a close look at the plaster, test the equipment, physically test the coping and tile and report on the rest of the pool aspects that keep it functioning, clean, safe, and beautiful. Certified Pool Inspections, Inc., has been performing pool inspections since 1994.

We have extensive experience in pool construction, so you get the bonus of our experience of having worked in a wide variety of backyard situations. Regardless of size, shape, or features, we know pools!

Reasons to Get a Residential Pool Inspection

When you’re planning to sell your home or are considering purchasing a home with a pool, a report by a licensed pool contractor will give you facts, not opinions. On the behalf of buyers or sellers, real estate agents often assist in setting up inspections and reports to help the sale go smoothly.

Beyond making sure you’re following the disclosure laws, you (and your clients) want to make sure you’re being honest with potential buyers or, as a buyer, have a full understanding of what you’re purchasing at the new home.

Your Custom Pool Inspection Report

For every inspection we do, you’ll also receive a complete, custom pool report. The report will include anticipated costs for repairs or replacements for the items we find are sub-standard or non-serviceable. You can rest assured that your custom pool inspection report is on the level and free of fabricated problems, so you know exactly what is needed to maintain the pool’s continued functionality and safety.

We don’t view any inspection we perform through the lens of a contractor, so you can have complete faith that our professional recommendations are trustworthy and unbiased. We even go a step further — on the day of the inspection, we take the time to educate you on the basics of a swimming pool, the equipment, the purposes of each item on a pool, and how they all function together. In the end, we want you to know pools, too!

Pool Inspection Report Checklist

During the inspection, our expert team at Certified Pool Inspections, Inc. looks at over 200 items for each pool and its related equipment. Other inspection services typically check about 10 to 15 items and are not as thorough. For example, based on the assessment, we’ll recommend if the pool needs to be re-plastered or is just in need of an acid wash.

Some of the items we cover are:

  • Automatic Cleaning Systems
  • Automatic Controls
  • Chlorine Generators
  • Circulation Systems
  • Coping
  • Decking
  • Filters
  • Finishes (Plaster, Tile, Coping)
  • Heaters
  • Infinity or Zero Edge Configurations
  • Jump/Diving Boards
  • Ladders or Grab Rails
  • Time Clocks or Timers
  • Lights
  • Skimmers
  • Slides
  • Waterfalls and Fountains

While other pool inspection companies may shape their assessments in the expectation that you’ll hire them to make the repairs, we follow the “Conflict of Interest” law and don’t do repairs. That way, you can trust our experts to be honest and trustworthy in their reporting and with their conversations with you.
