Mike Shaw, one of the founders of Certified Pool Inspections, has close to 50 years of professional experience working with swimming pools. He studied civil engineering at Cal-Poly Technical University and became a swimming pool contractor in 1978. Since then, he has inspected, built, remodeled, or repaired over 9,000 swimming pools. He’s worked on thousands of residential pools, but even has experience with Olympic-sized pools for health clubs and a rooftop pool on the 32nd floor of a downtown Los Angeles hotel.

Our other Founder, Kari Shaw is Mike’s wife and business partner. She is an integral part of making Certified Pool Inspections, Inc. the successful company it is today. Kari has experience in selling and building swimming pools, generating plans for permits for residential and commercial applications, researching codes and standards to bring the most comprehensive swimming pool inspection report out there.
